An Illinois woman named Rachel Hoover is fighting for her right to wear a pasta strainer on her head in her driver’s license picture.  Hoover, a member of the Pastafarian social movement, has been told by the Illinois Secretary of State that her license photo will be invalid by July 29 should she refuse to retake the photo.  The Secretary of State’s office continued, claiming Hoover’s local DMV facility shouldn’t have allowed her to take the photo with the strainer on her head in the first place.
