  1. LLI is truly an inspirational organization. Globally, everyone deserves quality education. It is undeniably one of the key elements is social mobilization and opens up the door to a livehood grounded in work that offers more than mere subsistence. Unfortunately, in Huaycan, a poverty ridden community on the outskirts of Lima, schools are so overcrowded that they must offer separate morning and afternoon session to two different groups of students. While LLI is a small non-profit, they offer supplementary education free of charge to community members. Students are able to participate in English classes and youth programs among other. Women have access to computer classes, workshops, and an artisan initiative. LLI’s mission is grounded in creating empowerment, an endeavor they are achieving everyday.
